Our guided canoe/camping trips are a great way to explore and discover the beautiful and scenic New River. We will paddle sections of the river that are appropriate for novice as well as seasoned paddlers. Our camping will be at some State Park areas and private campgrounds, all along the river. Our trips range from one night to five nights depending on your preference. We offer several trip options, all customized to suit your needs and abilities. Riverside Canoe provides most of the camping gear, food, and all of the necessary paddling equipment. Your guide is very experienced at paddling and camping and knows the river very well. This can be a “ learn as you go” experience for novice paddlers or experienced paddlers can draw from the guide’s expertise and learn new paddling techniques or refine their own.

Our trips are available from April until the end of October.
Rates vary depending on the length of the trip.

Trips are limited to 8 people plus the guide. Trip schedules are booked on Sunday through Thursday nights. Special arrangements must be made for weekend trips. Guided trips are great for families, business groups, bachelor/bachelorette celebrations, or anyone who just wants to get away. Make your reservations soon…schedules fill fast!

Below are special pre-scheduled guided trips offered through out the summer:

Shadows Shadows At Duskat Dusk
Enjoy a leisurely paddle at dusk on the New River with one of our guides.
Trips available every Friday evening throughout the summer and early fall.
We’ll start 2 hours before sunset at around 7pm and end at approximately 9pm.
Rate: $25.00 per person

Includes canoe or kayak, snacks and guide. Good times will be had by all!

Full Moon Float

This is a special guided trip that we offer every month at the time of the full moon. We start out at about 8pm, stop along the way for a snack and wait until the moon rises and continue our trip back to Riverside by the light of the moon. When the moon and the weather cooperate, this is an incredible experience.

Rate: $25.00 per person

Includes canoe or kayak, snacks and guide.
