Welcome to Riverside Canoe located on the South Fork of the New River in Crumpler, NC. Riverside Canoe, a full service outfitter, offers New River canoeing in Northeastern Ashe County. With Riverside Canoe you can begin your adventures canoeing or kayaking on the beautiful south fork along the 26 mile section of the National Wild & Scenic New River. We offer canoe, kayak, tube, and cabin rentals. Our self guided New River paddling trips range from 2 hours to 8 hours or overnight. We also offer overnight guided trips. If you're not sure what trip to take, give us a call and we'll be happy to go over the details of each New River canoeing trip with you. Lessons are available for those who are unsure or haven't paddled before.
The New River, which is believed to be the second oldest river in the world, with it's free flowing water and sections of mild rapids, is great for novice as well as experienced paddlers. Riverside Canoe is within a short drive to the New River State Parks, Jefferson and West Jefferson and convenient to Boone, Blowing Rock, Sparta and the Blue Ridge Parkway, as well as the High Country ski areas.

Although we do have camping cabins here at Riverside Canoe, we do not offer tent camping at our facility. There is a nice campground a mile down the road from us: Twin Rivers Family Campground www.twinriversfamilycampground.com
We strongly suggest reservations on weekdays.
Reservations are required for weekends and holidays.
